Function / Content

This series consists of survey plans referred by the Department of Lands as the "A" series. The plans record the survey detail for the area designated, including portion or lot number, area of property, location of adjoining property and streets. The plans have been certified by a licensed surveyor and include references to the file number, instructions, field book, drawn by, charted on PP, compared to FB, calculation book number, and date examined and passed by the Chief Drafting Officer. A legend and azimuth reference are included. The plans are in a scale of feet to inches. These plans are a medium format plan, 55 by 75 centimetres (or 22 by 30 inches) size on linen/canvas, and they were transferred to transparencies in the mid to late 1970's.
